PUBLIC NOTICE - HOME-ARP Citizen Participation Hearing

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) provides $5 billion to assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations, by providing housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country. These grant funds will be administered through HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).

The Urban County and City of O’Fallon were recently notified that they will receive HOME-ARP funds in the amount of $1,467,362 and $338,622, respectively. These funds will need to benefit the residents of Urban County (the cities of St. Peters, St. Charles, Lake Saint Louis, Cottleville, Wentzville, Weldon Spring, New Melle, St. Paul, Dardenne Prairie, and unincorporated areas of St. Charles County) and the City of O’Fallon.

St. Charles Urban County and City of O’Fallon seek your opinions to determine the most effective use of HOME-ARP funds to provide housing stability across the County. The community's opinions and perceptions are an important part of this planning process, and everyone is invited to participate. Your feedback will be used to help the Urban County and the City of O’Fallon decide how best to create programs and allocate funds.
